| "ARUBA COOKS" was compiled as a fundraiser for local foundations which support the mentally, physically and socially disadvantaged. All funds received are donated to those agencies. Resident artists and photographers donated their work which was produced on the island by the excellent graphic designers at Art & Design and printed by Oranjestad Printing. The hard-cover, 3-ring cookbook presents recipes from traditional Aruban cooks, contemporary island cooks, hotels, restaurants, celebrities from the U.S., visitors to Aruba and friends and associated of the editor, Linda Shapiro, a long time resident of Aruba, writer, recipe and cookbook collector and "a fine food connoisseur".
