During the COVID-19 pandemic, many will suffer both health and financial loss. To protect our families and our beautiful island, Aruba is officially on lock-down. Many of you may not know, but our primary source of income comes from tourism, and without visitors, there is not much we can do. Many establishments are closed, and going through hard times. Our association has taken the initiative to raise funds to provide social support to our member employees.
We have no option but to send our employees home to secure the continuity of our businesses and make sure they have a workplace to return to once our world is healed from the pandemic.
The feeling of helplessness has brought us to this initiative as we want to provide support to our employees that are going through hard times.
No donation is too small, and all contributions will be used to provide for our Restaurant employees that have gone home with a lot less income than they are used too and need our help to survive the crisis and challenging times ahead. Your support will make it easier for us to cope and ease the uncertainty for some of the ones that are affected at the moment.
The sooner we receive funds, we can start working on care packages for our employees. For years our staff has given their all; working holidays, odd hours, and more. They bring the hospitality in our daily lives, and the “Happy” into our “One Happy Island” and Your donations will make a difference in the lives of those that have been serving our guests for years.
